I'm thankful that my parents and my in-laws only live about an hour and a half away from each other so traveling around the holidays isn't bad. However, I don't like deciding how we're going to split our time between each family. For the first 2 years that we were married, we would spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with one family, then drive to the other family's house and spend a few days there. We would then switch back and hang out until right after New Year's then drive back home. Last year to eliminate cutting Christmas day short, we decided to spend both Christmas Eve and Christmas day with my parents then drove to Evan's the next day. This year, we'll be switching it around. Hopefully by next Christmas, we'll have our baby and everyone can come see us.
Another thing that I don't enjoy is taking down and putting away all of the decorations. I love putting them up and enjoying them while they're out, but taking everything down and getting them back in their boxes is so time consuming and tedious.
